Field Operations Manager: Crum Farming Inc. is located in South Morrow County and Gilliam County is looking for a Field Operations Manager. This position is responsible for all agricultural activities of his assigned fields and may be assigned some duties of mechanics, construction, cattle or heavy equipment operation. The purpose of this position is to co-design and execute the farming plan for (3500) pivot irrigated acres. Represent Crum Farming Inc, professionally and ethically in farming operations with our stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications: 10 years of irrigated farm experience, including a leadership role. Must be able obtain and keep current an Oregon Pesticide Applicators License and Oregon Driver’s License. Computer literate. Good knowledge or ability to learn about crop inputs, plant growth and development, and farm equipment. Ability to develop strong relationships. Knowledge of production agriculture and production plant operations; knowledge of field equipment; team leadership skills; training skills; priority management and ability to adjust quickly to changing conditions; good verbal communication skills; proficient PC skills; willingness to work in a variety of conditions (field, elevator, shop - hot, cold, dust, etc.); ability to lift up to 80 lbs
Preferred: Degree in Agronomy, Horticultural, Soil conservation, Agriculture Education, or general agriculture. Commercial Driver’s License. Bilingual (English/ Spanish).
Benefits: Salary range $36,000 to $40,000, DOE. House plus utilities, work vehicle and phone, ½ beef, $500/ month, health insurance reimbursement.
